Why do I need extra grease for my breaker points? The felt on the breaker point rubbing block comes pre-lubricated, isn't that enough?
ANSWER: Unfortunately no. In many cases the factory applied grease may not be enough, or have dried out a bit. Plus, anytime you are in there adjusting your points you should clean off the dirty grease and add a drop of clean grease. Your focus here is all about extending the life of the point cam and rub block. By doing so you improve the accuracy and life of your breaker points.
